Community360 is proud to manage both Braintree and Colchester Volunteer Centres. In the last two years we have registered over 3,000 potential volunteers to support the local community and voluntary sector.

We help people
find opportunities

Our Service really helps the community

As two of fourteen Volunteer Centres across Essex we are proud to be a part of the Volunteer Essex and Essex Time Bank network.

Both of our Volunteer Centres are open 5 days a week and they are run by a mixture of staff and volunteers.

We help people to identify appropriate opportunities and match them with what organisations need, thus supporting the local community to achieve their goals. This means we work with:

  • Charities and organisations from small local groups to large national charities. Their diverse work supports the areas of animal welfare, conservation, health and social care, women’s groups, arts and culture, disability, youth, education and disaster relief, to name but a few.
  • One off events such as carnivals, fun runs or a Christmas lights switch on. Whatever events may be happening in your local are we can help to support.
  • Social activities and clubs: scout groups, job clubs, coffee mornings, sports teams, and Time Banking

If you need help to find volunteers our volunteer centres can support you to promote your need for volunteers through our free brokerage service.

We meet with potential volunteers who are looking for the right role every day. Your role could be just what they are looking for.

If you have opportunities, we can promote these through our networks as well as within our newsletter, social media and Volunteer Essex Website.

Some people have really
enjoyed volunteering

Colchester and Ipswich Hospital Charity
I just wanted to pass on my sincere thanks for organising the volunteers for our Santa Fun Run on Sunday! Without this support the event wouldn’t have been such a success, raising just over £25,000 to date! Could you please on my thanks to those that volunteered.

Being a part of this wonderful community has really helped me have a sense of purpose every day
Robert Fitch
I gained a greater sense of purpose in my life when I started to volunteer.
