Over the last year the Braintree District, particularly Halstead, has seen a rise in the number of children and young people being exploited. In order to combat this, the Council applied for Safer Streets funding from the Home Office specifically for Halstead and was subsequently successful.
As part of Safer Streets, Braintree District Council are keen to train local partners about child exploitation including the signs to look out for and how to raise concerns.
The ‘Spot It Stop It’ child exploitation training will take place on Monday 8th April, 10am-12noon, delivered in person at Causeway House, Braintree (CM7 9HB) by Lucy Wilson, Children Young People & Safeguarding Officer.
