The UK Government is making £28 million in funding available to reduce the risk and impact of hate crime and terror attacks at places of worship and associated faith community centres in England and Wales.
The funding will be made available through the Places of Worship Protective Security Funding Scheme, and the Protective Security for Mosques Scheme for the free installation of protective security, such as CCTV, intruder alarms and secure fencing to help protect mosques, churches, temples, gurdwaras and other places of worship.
Mosques are also able to apply for security guarding services.
To apply for funding, applicants should submit evidence of their vulnerability and experience of hate crime.
The closing date for applications has now been extended until the 5th September 2023.
