After the success of last year’s Collaborate to Innovate conference where Louise Willsher, our Strategic Head of Innovation and Growth, sat on a discussion panel looking at health inequalities, Community360 were invited back to join to another panel at this year’s NIHR Applied Research Collaboration for the East of England Conference.

Our very own Tim Fox joined a number of academics, health care and community development professionals to round off an exciting day of research presentations around knowledge mobilisation.

Chaired by Simon Denegri OBE, the chair of NIHR ARC East of England Expert Advisory Group and Executive Director of the Academy of Medical Sciences, the panel explored how research can be used to benefit people, spanning across communities, policymakers, health and care services and third-sector organisations, to the end of catalysing change. This topic led to some very fruitful discussion amongst the panel members, with Tim bringing together experiences from many key pieces of research work we have undertaken at Community360. Doing so offered a fresh perspective from the third sector, leading to some timely reflections around sustained community engagement and research dissemination.

Following from this, we are now seeking to build upon this work to identify the ways in which we can work more closely with the academic world in new partnership working opportunities!
