Next Chapter are hosting a meeting of representatives from the By and For communities across North and Mid Essex with the intention of being able to build links with their service across every community in the region. One of the primary aims behind building links is to explore the diverse needs and cultural nuances relevant to particular groups from the perspective of recognising and supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
Next Chapter would like to identify domestic abuse champions in all communities within our districts to support with providing domestic abuse awareness and support in a way that is appropriate and allows victims to feel emotionally safe and understood within their own context.
The meeting, which is due to take place on Thursday 28th September at 3pm at Chapter House, 1 Haven Road, Colchester, CO2 8HT, has attracted a good level of interest already.
