Colchester Against Modern Slavery (CAMS) Partnership is co-hosting a Homelessness and Modern Slavery Conference, 10th October 2023 9.00am – 12.00pm
Contributors include Crisis, Homeless Link, The Passage, The Salvation Army and Together Free and will explore:
• The extent and how homeless communities experience exploitation and modern slavery
• Factors contributing towards vulnerability and exploitation
• Referral pathways, the National Referral Mechanism and challenges particular to the homeless community
• Multi-agency responses and survivor support
• How charities and organizations working with vulnerable clients can develop reslience to modern slavery
• Case studies and group participation
The conference is for professionals and volunteers working with homeless communities and other vulnerable groups.
