Grants of up to £100,000 are available for charities, schools, local authorities and other not for profit organisations to give extra support to young people at risk of anti-social behaviour.
The funding is for additional hours of youth work and activities that give young people aged 11 to 18, (or up to 25 for young people with SEND) somewhere safe to go, something engaging to do and someone trusted to talk to.
Costs that can be supported include:
- staff salaries
- volunteer costs
- training costs
- service delivery, including costs such as materials, equipment, food
- some overheads, such as management, administration and support staff costs, venue hire, rent and utilities.
Projects could take place in a dedicated youth centre or space, or in places that young people already spend time in, such as cafes, parks, or other community facilities.
The funding is made available by the National Lottery Community Fund and the Department of Culture Media and Sport through the Million Hours Fund.
Applications can be made at any time until 12pm on the 24th November 2023.
The funding is only available in certain areas of England.
