Self-care tools for stress and anxiety: An interactive lunchtime workshop

Wed, 12 Jul 2023 12:30 – 13:30

This interactive group session will allow attendees to learn a number of tools (from the Managing Health Programme) that can help with ‘Day to Day’ feelings of stress and anxiety. You will have the opportunity to participate in breathing techniques and activities that support mindfulness.

What is The Managing Health Programme?

The Managing Health Programme supports individuals, through tools and tips, to help them better self-manage their long-term conditions. There are several programmes available, as well as group programmes and telephone support services, so you will have a choice about what feels right for you.

People with various long-term conditions (heart disease, asthma, arthritis, pain, depression, anxiety, MS, ME, COPD, cancer, etc), have similar concerns and problems when managing their condition. The programme looks at how to improve health, self-management, and how to get the best from consultations with health professionals.

The Mid-Essex Recovery College will provide a safe space for people to learn new skills, expand on existing ones, and attend courses developed to support mental health recovery.
