Essex County Council have launched the small grants element of their new £7.5 million grant scheme, the Essex Public Health Accelerator Bids (PHAB) programme.
Organisations can now apply for a small grant between £500 and £15,000 to deliver a project that aligns closely with the priorities in the new Essex Wellbeing, Public Health and Communities Business Plan. You can read the plan here: Wellbeing, Public Health and Communities business plan.
There is no set deadline for submission of small grants, but this may change depending on the volume of small grant applications we receive.
Essex County Council launched the major grants element of PHAB during the summer, and in Round 1 they received 75 expressions of interest. These have been carefully assessed, and a number have been invited to submit a second stage application. The first major grants will be awarded at the beginning of November. Some expressions of interest have been deferred to seek further clarification and information from applicants. Round 2 of the major grant’s element opens on Monday 6 November and closes on Friday 1 December.
