Have you or a loved one got lived experience of using mental health and physical health care services and want to help shape patient care for the future?
Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) are committed to putting the people they care for at the heart of everything they do.
They are expanding opportunities for experts by experience to take an active role in helping co-design the services EPUT provide and have numerous forums for people to share their views and feedback.
The Trust has more than 100 lived experience ambassadors, including new co-production champions, who support EPUT at every level, including sitting on interview panels, working on projects, improving services, delivering training, supporting service users and staff, and volunteering as a governor.
EPUT will be celebrating and showcasing their valuable contribution at their first co-production conference, and are inviting anyone with an interest in how lived experience can make a difference to join them.
Co-Production Champions Network and Patient Experience Team are hosting the event on Monday 23 October from 9.30am to 4pm at Hamptons Sports and Leisure, Beehive Lane in Great Baddow CM2 9FH.
Guest speakers include;
- Julie Repper from ImROC (Implementing Recovery Through Organisational Change)
- Carol Munt, a lived experience patient partner and advocate who works with NHS England and the Co-Production Collective
- Cristina Serrão, a lived experience ambassador in the Experience of Care Team at NHS England
A variety of organisations will be taking part in the ‘marketplace’, which will include information stalls from Healthwatch Essex, Open Arts, Enable East, EmployAbility, Mid Essex Recovery College, BATIAS Independent Advocacy Services, and EPUT.
There will also be a Camerados Public Living Room for people to take a break or have a chat.
Dress code is comfy not corporate.
Tickets to the conference are free, but you must register on Eventbrite to secure your ticket at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/eput-coproduction-conference-2023-tickets-684227582117
The event is open to people with lived experience and members of the public who already volunteer at EPUT. It is also open to partners and organisations from the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.
