This 2-hour online course is designed for those who submit funding bids or manage funded projects. It aims to de-mystify technical language such as ‘Key Performance Indicators’ and ‘Indirect Outcomes’, and gives participants a chance to reflect on how the things they will do contribute to achieving their project’s goals.
By the end of the course, delegates will understand some of the most common technical language used by funders, reflect on the link between what they do and what it achieves (actions and outcomes), the variable impact of different actions, and how to manage workloads when the demand for their projects’ services is high.
- Understand the most common funding language
- Explore the link between multiple service actions and positive outcomes for beneficiaries
- Consider the impact of actions on staff and volunteer workloads
- Discuss techniques to focus on the most ‘impactful’ actions
