A five-session series looking at the principles and practices of good governance. This will help trustees to have an understanding of the roles they play within their organisation, whether their organisation is completely voluntary or they employ paid staff.

Session 1: Understanding Governance

This session will look at:

· What is governance and why does it matter?

· Getting the balance between governance and management right

· Governance principles, approaches and practicalities

· Understanding your individual and collective roles

· Introduction to different Governance codes.

Dip in and out of this series and take what you need, share the training with different members of your trustee board, or do the whole lot!
