Major Boost for North East Essex as £370,000 of Hyperlocal Funding is Announced
A new funding initiative has been launched to support local groups to deliver initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing for local residents.
The North East Essex Hyperlocal Fund will be administered by Community360 on behalf of One Colchester, the strategic partnership for Colchester and CVS Tendring on Behalf of Tendering Together.
The purpose of the North East Essex Hyperlocal Fund is to support the development of asset rich, resilient local Neighbourhoods that improve health and wellbeing for local residents. Funds can be used to support local projects and to improve residents’ lives.
The grant fund initiative is inviting applications from not-for-profit organisations, local networks and public sector partnerships such as registered voluntary and charitable organisations, community groups, tenants and resident groups, district and parish councils, faith groups and social enterprises.
Individual awards will range from £1000 – £10,000, however projects exceeding this will be considered.
Louise Willsher, Head of Projects at Community360 said: “We’re excited about the impacts and outcomes that will come from these funded projects which will provide the much-needed support for community groups.”
She added: “This is such a fantastic opportunity for local charities and groups to help address issues such as deprivation and inequalities, improving mental health, health and wellbeing by reducing isolation and loneliness, increasing physical activity to reduce obesity and improving physical health.
We welcome applications from neighbourhood and parish based organisations and groups who can demonstrate the effective change the funding can offer to their clients and service users. Such as encouraging resilience in local communities and supporting innovative community driven work that will ultimately contribute to the health and well being of our communities.
If you are running a local coffee morning, community hall, friendship club or walking group and could benefit from funding, we want to hear from you.”
Projects can help anyone of any age.
