Lunch and Learn

Guest speaker: Julie Parker-Jopson from The Royal British Legion
Julie will be speaking about the LifeWorks project, a fully funded 5 day course which equips ex-Armed Forces personnel with the tools to find and maintain a civilian job that is appropriate for them. It focuses on coaching and support is tailored to each individual to maximise their potential.
- 5 day intensive course
- Comprehensive Vocational Assessment
- Coaching 4 Change – helping participants to achieve positive outcomes, understand how to develop and increase self-belief.
- CV and job searching coaching and workshops
- Interview preparation ending with a full “mock interview” with an external business manager
- 12 month follow up and support
The course is available to anyone who has a British Service Number regardless of how long and when they served.
The session will be of interest to anyone who has not heard about Royal British Legion Industries (Separate charity to Royal British Legion) as Julie will give an overview of this diverse Charity supporting ex service personnel and their dependents.
Anyone dealing with ex service personnel will benefit from attending.
As usual, we will provide refreshments in the form of tea, coffee and biscuits and feel free to bring your lunch or we will send you details of the menu from Level Best Art Café nearer the time. You can order direct and pay on the day. The format of the session will be a presentation followed by a Q&A session and that all important networking.
