General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
10th May 2018 c360admin

On the 25th May, new privacy laws will be coming into effect in the United Kingdom.  The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to all organisations who hold personal data about you.  This could be your name or address.  It may also include any other data that can be used to identify you, such as details about an employer, your date of birth or your email address.

GDPR gives everyone the right to decide how they want to be contacted by organisations and how their data is used.  It also ensures that organisations put in place safe and secure ways to hold your personal data so that your privacy is respected and information is kept up to date.

The law gives people the option to easily access information held by organisations and to ask for changes.

Community360 currently holds information about you to keep in touch with you about a particular service.  We issue many news updates and are taking this opportunity to confirm with you, which updates you would like to receive.

If you would like to keep in touch about our work or that of the local community, please let us know by 22nd May 2018. If you do not opt in to any of the following, we will remove your details from our contact lists.

To opt in please complete the form and return to us by post, email or by hand delivering to Winsley’s House.

We hold your data in order to provide the best quality service that we can and to keep in touch with you to update you on any changes.

We already have policies and procedures to keep your data safe and secure.  We review procedures regularly and update them to make sure that we continue to do so.

We do not sell your data to third parties.  We have a privacy statement which outlines how we hold and manage data.  It can be viewed on our website at www.community360.org.uk or sent to you on request.

If you need to update any of your contact details, have any questions about your data or our privacy statement, we would be happy to talk to you.  Please call us on 01206 505250 or email us at information@community360.org.uk
