The Ministry of Justice is launching a new grant fund worth £7.1m with maximum bids at £1 million available to local authorities, public sector and third sector organisations: the “Local Leadership and Integration Fund”.
Recognising that the challenges faced by prison leavers are often localised, this initiative has been designed to empower, fund and support local leaders and agencies to propose innovative new ways of working together towards shared outcomes that improve the lives of prison leavers.
Local leaders from across public and third sector organisations will be invited to submit joint proposals which will improve service integration and outcomes within their local area. The grant is looking at improving a wide range of outcomes, including but not limited to employment, accommodation, health and social inclusion.
This new grant fund is part of a cross-sector initiative, the Prison Leavers Project, which aims to find new ways to improve the outcomes of people leaving prison.
There will be two rounds of funding. The first round of the competition will open in January 2021. If you are interested in finding out more, please follow the link below to sign up to a webinar session, which begin December 3rd 2020, where further details will be provided.
