Staff from Colchester United Football in the Community are working with Community360 (C360) to supply positive mentors to families across Essex who are engaged with the Essex Family Support Service. These families are accessing support from C360 staff and CUFITC mentors will be able to provide sports activities and development sessions for families to help them engage and develop throughout the current pandemic restrictions. Interventions through digital sessions as well as face to face interaction within the government guidelines will enable the U’s community team to support the fantastic work already being undertaken by C360.
Tracy Rudling, CEO at Community360 said: “We are really excited about our partnership with Colchester United Football Club. There are so many young people who love football and this new collaboration will provide much needed motivation and engagement for families to help them work towards positive outcomes to transform behaviour, attitude and learning. We hope to work together on some future projects when government guidelines allow, to help bring communities together through sport which is so important in our community.”
