The Community Marketplace 2017 will be bringing together charities, community services and local businesses to showcase some of the valuable assets we have in North East Essex and Braintree.

Whether you would like to become a volunteer, are a carer wanting know what support might be available to you or if you would like to find out more about healthy lifestyles, you will be able to speak to someone on 23rd November at Firstsite.
The event, organised by Community360, is a follow up to 2016’s Community Marketplace, which was visited by nearly 400 people.

Over 50 community groups will be on display from 9.30 am to 4 pm.
In addition, a number of activities will be held on the day for professionals and voluntary groups, including information sessions to create 60 new dementia friends, workshops and a ‘Pitch to the Funder’ event. Organisers and trustees of voluntary groups are advised to attend.

The day will reach a climax in the afternoon, when voluntary groups will be thanking their volunteers at a celebration and tea party. Local dignitaries will be thanking volunteers for their impact over the last year.

Tracy Rudling, Chief Executive of Community360, said “We were overwhelmed with the interest in the Community Marketplace in 2016 and are looking forward to this year’s event. We will be welcoming a fantastic range of organisations who offer valuable services in the local area.’

Confirmed exhibitors will include Essex County Council Social Care, Headway Essex, Community Agents, Hospices, Essex Children’s University, Action on Hearing Loss, Essex Sight, Essex Fire Service and Repair Reuse Recycle, to name just a few. The event will welcome mental health and healthy lifestyles support services and leisure groups.

We are pleased to confirm our main sponsors this year are Fisher Jones Greenwood, Scrutton Bland, Premier Choice Internet and Mailboxes Etc. Tony Fisher from Fisher Jones Greenwood said ““It is important for local businesses to exchange ideas and interact with charities and community services in order to help create a solid infrastructure and support networks within the local community”. Our sponsors will be exhibiting their range of services on the day, so please take the time to visit their stands.

The exhibition is open to all; activities may require booking in advance. If you would like to find out more, contact Community360 on 01206 505250 or visit
