FLU BLUES!
Corona – September 2020

We all are getting fed-up
Of this ghastly, rotten flu.
From Feb until September
Thinking – ‘who has got a clue’?

I cannot get my head around
Who we can meet, or not?
And who invented “bubbles”?
I think that’s a load of rot!

The only bubbles that I know
We’re found inside a tub.
The “good old days”, remember them?
The days of rub-a-dub!

Right at the start I listened to
The news most every day,
Listening close at what to do,
I felt I’d lost the way.

I cannot be the only one
Who thinks they’re going mad?
Come on you folks, cheer up I say,
Won’t help us to be sad. 🙁!

One day we will remember
2020 was the year.
We’ll say “Do you remember
How we lived our lives in fear?

But come on, we are British
Must not let our Country down.
We’ll see this through, from north to south, In countryside or town.

And then will come the party
Of all parties, just be sure.
We’ll win this war just as we did,
A hundred years before.
