Community360 recently showcased their services to invited stakeholders, partners and funders at The One Colchester Hub.
Amongst those attending was Cllr. David Finch, Leader of Essex County Council, supporters of the work Community360 delivers.
“The County Council’s aim is to support strong self-reliant communities and it is fantastic that the One Colchester Hub has been developed to assist not only established community groups but the unmet needs of the community.” Commented Cllr. David Finch.
He added: “Community hubs help to improve access to services, outcomes and overall wellbeing of our communities. It brings people together from various communities and help them build relationships and support networks.”
Community360 already works with more than 300 charities, voluntary and community groups each year to assist them to continue to do their valuable work.” Said Tracy Rudling, CEO at Community360.
“However, we also have a host of services which our partners are able to promote to their users. Our Home from Hospital Campaign has been hugely successful as has our Social Prescribing. It is important that our services are promoted to the wider community and for our partners to engage and promote what we can provide to our local citizens.”
The One Colchester Hub, where the event was held, was launched in 2018 and has seen a host of Colchester residents, Community360 iTea members and many local supporting agencies being involved in the ‘Colchester Communities Can…’ project.
There are free weekly weigh-ins offered in partnership with Anglian Community Enterprise (ACE) and various other groups and clubs throughout each week such as iTea, C360’s Women’s Group, Men’s Groups, Time Bank Time Together meetings and Job Club.”
The HUB base is managed by Community 360 in partnership with Colchester Borough Council.
“We are very grateful to receive support from a number of organisations who provide us with funding and resources for our varied activities and projects.” Said Tracy.
“As a charity we rely on a variety of support from partners that share our determination to address the challenges facing communities today. We’re proud to be supported by the statutory and private sector as well as trusts and grants both locally and nationally – all of whom are committed to a vision of healthier and happier communities for everyone.”
