A ‘hate crime’ is any incident or crime in which someone is targeted because of their actual or perceived race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.

You can get involved in National Hate Crime Awareness Week by reposting messages on social media, raising awareness of hate crime to colleagues, friends and family and reporting hate crime if you witness it.
