Hospital Hero Hike 2023
Be a hero and walk 21 miles from Colchester Hospital to Ipswich Hospital
Date: Sunday 30 April 2023
Start: Cancer Wellbeing Centre, Colchester Hospital, Turner Road, Colchester CO4 5JL
Halfway: Free hot and cold drinks, water refills, tasty snacks and toilets at East Bergholt
Finish: Ipswich Hospital, Heath Road, Ipswich IP4 5PD
Distance: 21 miles – this may take you between 5-8 hours. Don’t forget this is a point to point walk, so please ensure you arrange transport home!
Terrain: Gently undulating with sections on and off road
Age: 14 years and over (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event)
Entry Fee: £20 per person or free for ESNEFT staff, students, volunteers and onsite partner organisations
Entry Fee Includes: Free event parking at both hospitals, Hospital Hero t-shirt and bespoke medal
Fundraising target for Staff Wellbeing: Suggested minimum £100 per person or £250 per family of three+
