Essex County Council have been working on a new Disability Strategy, which outlines what they will do to support people with learning disabilities, sensory impairment and physical disabilities over the next four years.
The strategy was discussed at a meeting of the People and Families Policy and Scrutiny Committee, where the committee heard from a registered deafblind Healthwatch Essex Ambassador about her lived experience. Read more about the Disability Strategy and the committee’s recommendations.
