Meet and play basketball with the Essex Rebels and your local police officers.
Essex Police are teaming up once again with Colchester-based Basketball Club, the Essex Rebels, to offer free basketball sessions for children and young people across Colchester this summer.
Whether a beginner and wanting to try a new sport, or someone who regularly plays basketball, these sessions have something for everyone.
Led by top coaches from the Essex Rebels, based at the University of Essex, those who come along can find out about the sport, learn the rules, and pick up new skills to take back and try out on their local courts.
The coaches will be joined by police officers from Colchester’s Community Policing Team, who began the Ballin’ with a bobby initiative three years ago.
