The Violence and Vulnerability Unit Newsletter is supporting the Active Essex Foundation (AEF) at their inaugural Power of Sport, Youth Crime Prevention Conference.
The conference, to be held on 28 September, at Colchester United JobServe Community Stadium will bring together partners from the criminal justice system, local authorities, statutory, community and voluntary agencies, and local trusted organisations who all believe in the power of physical activity and sport as an effective engagement, prevention and intervention tool.
The VVU are co-presenting a workshop which will explore using sport and activity to navigate away from criminality and exploitation.
With a key focus on sharing expertise and learning from others, the conference will celebrate partnership working. Young people will also share their own lived experience of how sport and physical activity has positively impacted their lives.
