The Prudence Trust is making £1 million in funding available to improve the services of registered charities and CICs offering mental health support to young people aged 11-25 across the UK.

The aim of this funding is to support charities to better understand how their service works and how it can be improved.

It is anticipated that between 5 to 8 grants of various sizes will be awarded.

Proposals must demonstrate a clear plan for measuring impact. This could include:

  • the design of more effective programmes
  • demonstrating impact for commissioning
  • stopping programmes
  • aligning services with young people’s needs

The types of costs that can be supported include:

  • consultancy support for work such as strategy review, theory of change, creation of an evaluation and change plan
  • upskilling of staff responsible for monitoring and evaluation
  • costs to work with an external evaluator or academic on specific programmes
  • staff or consultant time to review evidence of similar services

The fund is open to organisations with an annual income of £250,000 or over.

The fund will be open to expressions of interest from the 5th February 2024 until the 8th March 2024.
