This role is based in Braintree and the main duties include processing referrals received either direct or through a wide range of agencies, working with GP practices within primary care networks, pharmacies, multi-disciplinary teams, hospital discharge and many other stakeholders (this list is not exhaustive) to identify the most appropriate service, club or support to meet the needs of the individuals that offer practical, social and emotional support that will improve their health and wellbeing.

 

You will build relationships with the people you are helping by listening carefully to what is important to them and what motivates them.  You will work individuals, their families and carers to take control of their wellbeing, live independently and improve their health outcomes.

 

You will bring:

Assistant Engagement Officer – MSP

Position: Assistant Engagement Officer Full-time £19,891 – 22,400

 

The Position

Social Prescribing – we are seeking individuals who would like to help people to self-care and self-manage their health and wellbeing.  The candidates will need to demonstrate strong communications skills and be keen to work within a team environment.  They will be based within local communities and at offices across North East Essex to work directly with community members and in partnership with health and social care services.

You would be joining a friendly Community Development team of ‘can-do’ people who work together to provide an excellent service.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications and databases as will manage email flow for the team and update databases with confidential data
  • An understanding of how to work within boundaries
  • The ability to follow processes and policies in relation to recording and storing data and safeguarding
  • Project support, planning or delivery skills
  • Great interpersonal skills to work with diverse communities
  • The ability to multi-task within a dynamic, fast paced, and changing environment

Assistant Engagement Officer – Volunteer Coordinator

Position: Assistant Engagement Officer Volunteer Coordinator Full-time £19,891 – 22,400

Volunteer Centre

 We are seeking individuals who can work as part of our volunteer centre team, working with volunteers in Colchester and Braintree to find the right opportunities to reach their goals and support local people.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong organisational skills, including administration and data management, as well as good interpersonal skills and be comfortable being part of a busy team. You will be based within local communities and at offices across North East Essex to work directly with community members and in partnership with health and social care services.

To be able to fill this role, the skills and experience we are looking for is as follows:

  • A strong administration background with experience in using various systems and databases
    • Strong communication skills
    • Experience in managing and supporting volunteers
    • Experience in supporting and advising others on policies and procedures
    • Facilitation and training skills (desirable)
